Gareth leaned for a moment on the wall which bordered the place. Just up and to his left stood the house made famous as Skeldale House Veterinary practice in the now-classic television series, All Creatures Great and Small.

Crawling up the hill into Askrigg, Harry saw just ahead on his left two patrol cars already parked under large trees, beyond which he saw the church.

Of all the ways to celebrate turning forty, Gareth Jones figured that launching a new solo album in a beautiful little church in Wensleydale, in the middle of winter, was certainly one of the most unique.

At the end of the path, which led from the main door of the church and along to the small cobblestone marketplace, in the middle of which stood a stone cross, Gareth leaned for a moment on the wall which bordered the place.

‘It’s a late one, but we’ve got ourselves a table down at The King’s Arms,’ Lisa said, moving no further into the church itself, ‘and we won’t have time later on for a proper dinner I don’t think, not with all the rehearsing we still need to do before tomorrow.’
